Hey I'm george. I'm in ontario canada and I love to bbq meats and have tried smoking once or twice. Unfortunately I have had to resort to turning my propane bbq into a smoker when I did lol. I am looking to get a smoker for xmas from my gf. I just wanted to pick your brains as to what I should buy. There are so many to choose from. I am looking to spend around 250 CAD. Any tips? I'm confused as to which is better.. gas or electric? And I'd like to use wood when I smoke.

Welcome to the forum.  Lots of good info here.  As to a smoker, I lean to a WSM 30  or a Mes 30.  I go for the smaller sizes as there is only Linda and me (sigh and her daughter) to feed
