He was one day younger than I. One of my favorite actors. R. I. P. Val.

I was looking to see if anyone posted about this.

Thank you.

He in my mind was Doc Holiday , I watch Tombstone at least twice a year, and mainly for his acting and portrayal of Doc. Holiday.

I have said it here before , he should have won the Academy award that year for that part.

I know Justin Rafter H BBQ Rafter H BBQ . pretty much feels the same way

RIP Val. " Your a daisy if you do "

Every once in while someone comes along and just becomes the character in the part. There have been many over the years but Val as “Doc Holiday “ is all time great as well as Emelio Estevez as “Billy the Kid” just great works, many others as well.

Yes you are right , to both of them.

That was in " Young Guns " was it not. I should find that and watch it again.

Had to look it up before posting: Emilio Estevez in "Young Guns", yes he was.

Yup.
Big fan of both.

Want to know sort of an oddball character fit? It was Luke Perry in “8 Seconds “ never would have guessed him in a cowboy rodeo type move but dang he knocked that roll out of the park.

Movies are fun with great actors. Immortalized for ever.

I forgot he played in that. That was a fantastic movie.
And a true story also.

He played in the movie series " Goodnight for Justice" movies.
Movies were slow and corny, but he wrote and played the part.
He played a good cowboy, just not great movies.

For me, ANYTHING the guy appeared in was another level beyond. Just seeing him in something made me smile. Like "I got this". Yeah Doc might be his best but SWEAR I see some Jim Morrison in Doc and that is so true. Dude even made a low brow cameo appearance in a cheesy TV show PSYCH and he totally steals the camera. Dude rocked a girls name!
