We are touring in the US at the moment and are having a real mix of eating experiences - most mediocre to good but one especially bad in Marina near Monterey CA.
Last night though we ate in a steak house in St George Utah - "The Gun Barrel" and the ribs there were right up there in the "excellent" category. Thick, juicy and tender - the meat on them was so thick that I could actually carve it off before getting anywhere near to the rib bones themselves. They were not "fall-off-the-bone" (that is the way the owner there prefers to cook them) but the meat just dissolved in the mouth. If you get a chance to try, it should be well worth the visit.
