Started my build with 113 gallon propane tank (62x24), which is 3/16 steel, my firebox is 1/4 steel (20wx20dx24L). The water pan/tray that will be my baffle for the RF design, does it need to be 1/4 or will 3/16 work.

On a side note the firebox seems a little big, but according to the calculator it is right.

I say the more metal mass the better.  But either one will work.  Nice build!

Ditto on adiochiro3

The thinner the metal the more radiant heat. if its an option go with 1/4"

Looking at your design, You may need to put a baffle in at the firebox side to even temps out.

I needed to do this on frank
