Request for those with vertical propane smokers

Hello,

I am having a stainless steel vertical propane smoker built and would like to know if anyone who has one would be so kind as to measure the distance between the burner and the bottom of the wood chip box.

I appreciate your help... Thanks!

I used bolts so I could adjust the height . Settled in ~3" to a cast iron skillet .

I changed the burner and added an electric element for cold smoking with a PID. The original burner wouldn't go low enough without blowing out.



Also added a needle valve for finer control



I also use it for my pizza oven
