removing the finish from a factory weber lid

Will sand blasting remove it. Cause my grinders, and sanders only polish it :)

Hope this helps. That coating is real sturdy and tough to get off. This is the only way I have been able to do it.

sandblasting worked very well.  a little too well. actually warped the rim a little bit.  a little hammering on a sand bag brought her right back into place though.  just got it back from the powder coater and it looks amazing.
