Hey everyone. I am getting married on May 11 and am looking for a referral for someone in NC to cook/cater the rehearsal dinner/BBQ the day before. The dinner will take place at my parents' home located on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC. We are about 20 minutes North of Charlotte. We are open to suggestions as far as menu, but I we would be interested in pulled port, brisket, ribs and/or a whole hog. I would personally like a whole hog, primarily because I've never seen one done before, but I know that may come with some limitations.
We are expecting 60-80 guests. The original plan was to just buy some pulled pork from a local restaurant, but I would much rather have someone on site. Most of our guests are coming from really far away and I thought a real NC BBQ would be a great touch.
I wouldn't mind trying to pull it off myself, but I'm still pretty new to BBQ and I'll probably be pretty busy.
