Happy Wednesday, SMF Friends!
So I've been lazing around, doing next to nothing, since back in the spring when I finished the direct heat smoker box that B BigW. now owns.
We are finally having some cooler autumn temps around here after the summer heat tried to hang on until snow flies! And so now I'm getting the itch to start another smoker build project! The challenge is, I don't really have anything in mind. I'm out of room in my garage for storing another pit, and there's nothing I need or want to build for my own use. So I thought I'd just put the word out that I'd be tickled pink to build a custom smoker/grill/cooker for any SMF member who might be interested!
If you've watched any of my previous builds, and think you might be up for a custom pit of your own, please reach out to me and we'll put our heads together to design exactly what you want. If you haven't already seen these build threads, here are the links to the 3 builds I've posted here, if you'd like to take at look at my previous work:

Those who have followed my other builds already know this, but I'll say it again here. I build smokers because I find it fun. It's a hobby. I'm not trying to start a side hustle, or make big profits from selling these cookers to friends. If there is a particular type or style of smoker that you've dreamed of owning, I'm pretty confident that I can build it for you (within my skill level, of course) for significantly less money than a factory pit would cost from any of the major pit builders out there.
Now just a couple of disclaimers: I wouldn't agree to take someone's money for a build if I wasn't confident I can do it right. If you were to reach out, the first thing you and I would have to do is figure out if I have the tools/knowledge/skills to build it right. There are probably some designs that would be beyond what I'm capable of doing in my little home shop. You'd have my word that I wouldn't agree to take on the project until I know for sure I could swing it.
The second thing is, I'm slow! Just one old fat retired guy working alone in his home shop. If you want it fast, I'm definitely not your guy LOL! All my other builds have taken many months to finish...but I promise I took extra time to make sure I did them all the right way!
The only other requirement I'd have is, you'd have to agree to allow me to post a build thread here...so all my other buddies can follow along - that's half the fun! Plus, there are a number of talented fabricators here who've helped me out over the course of my other builds with helpful advice and suggestions.
So somebody hit me up and let's design and build your dream cooker! You can simply respond in this thread if you want. Or if you'd rather, you're welcome to send me a PM and we'll discuss it behind the scenes.
Looking forward to hearing from y'all!

Red's 24x46 Reverse Flow Patio Build
Howdy SMF Brothers and Sisters! I started a RF patio smoker build several months ago...and kept meaning to start a build thread here. So I'm finally getting around to doing that! I started with this propane tank. It's 5/16" thick, and 24" diameter by almost 11 feet long. I plasma-cut the...
A New Build: 24x30 Vertical Offset - A Custom Build For JLeonard!
Hello SMF Friends! Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. Those of you who followed my last build, a 24x42 reverse flow patio smoker, probably know that I recently sold that pit to Ryan (@Brokenhandle). He seems very happy with it, which makes me even happier! So anyway, as I was...
Red's Newest Build: A Direct-Heat Smoker/Grill
I've been planning this build since late last Fall. Just had to get the holidays behind me and shake off a case of the Lazy's! So my plan is a box for use as both a direct heat, live-fire smoker, and a high-heat grill. This type of cooker has become more popular lately. They're basically a...
