Well I picked up a MB Pro today. I love my homemade charcoal smoker, but wanted something that I don't have to babysit as much.

I got it home and got it put together. Fired it up and seasoned it in anticipation of smoking some pork butts, peppers and corn this weekend.

So far I am impressed. The wind was blowing fairly well so I fabricated a sheet metal wind break around the bottom. That helped tremendously.I also will be using the cast iron pan in lieu of the factory chip pan.

Looking forward to smoking on this unit.

All sounds good.... This weekend, time to get er dirty !

I have the same smoker! (It was my first of many) I know you'll have a great time with it! The cast iron pan is definitely a necessity in my opinion. Can't wait to see pics of your smokes!
