So, I have a Vacmaster Pro 350, and I have always ordered my bags from Lisa. Well, I am in the middle of packaging a large quantity of bacon and ran out. So, my question is, can I use the bags they sell at Academy in my vacmaster (I am sorry if this is a stupid ?). I think they carry Foodsaver.

Thanks in advance!

73saint - I have used brand name bags that match my vac. sealer as well as non brand name. The only differences that can be seen is with the thickness of the bags themselves. Be sure to try to match the mil number. Other than that the same rules apply for all bags. 1. Be sure that the seal itself is made all the way across the bag, and that the bag where you seal it is clean....

I have deer and elk roasts from 3 years ago with an off name bag still in the freezer with no signs of burn or frosting.... at the same time I have King salmon from 2 years ago with a name brand bag and still looks great along with berries from 5 years ago that are going to be mixed in with an all berry preserve this weekend as well as some whole bean coffee from a trip to Venezuela 4 years ago and that looks great....

I use food saver bags in my Vacmaster 380 and the work fine.
I think that machine would seal any brand without a problem.
I have used VacMaster bags, foodsaver bags, & the bags from Lisa & they all work.
Although the foodsaver bags aren't as thick as the other two, so I double seal them.
