Question: How to ship smoked bacon

How have you shipped smoked bacon? UPS, FedEx, USPS? Insulated container? With or without dry ice? Looking for advice based on actual experience shipping smoked bacon.

I shipped some bacon and canadian bacon in a Omaha Steaks insulated foam box a couple of years ago. It was in the late fall, and I just froze the stuff in the deep freeze before shipping. It only had to go about 200 miles away and it made it in good shape. Farther I think you'd be looking at a dry ice shipment.

Pony Express is a bad idea, especially if it has to go through Apache Territory!!!

I have to ship east coast to Las Vegas, so I probably won't use USPS. Those dudes can sniff out bacon and fried chicken from a block away.
