i've seen a few threads here using a pre-made mix that can be bought; my questions is, has anyone come up with thier own recipe for this type of venison bacon?

if so, i'd be interested.

thanks in advance.....

I haven't come up with one...I have made about 100lbs with curley's tho....every time it's been good...very sticky stuff

thanks, guys - maybe i'll have to get some of curleys, use it and then perhaps come up with a "home-made" version.

I also use Curley's based on all the information that MossyMO posted in the past couples years. The end product has always been great for me. Thanks MossyMO and good luck Tasunka. If you come up with a unique recipe, I'd love to try it!

I too have used the Curley's kit for VB and cannot say enough good about it. Definitely worth it. I even packed the outside of a few loaveswith black pepper for a peppered bacon. SOO GOOD!
