What are your thoughts on the enameled dutch oven? I've seen them before. But never pulled the trigger.
6qt. I have a 6qt regular cast iron, love it.

Was thinking with this one, wouldn't have to worry as much about hurting seasoning.

Will let you know after i give it a run.

I just did a chuck roast in a red sauce in our Lodge. It cooks with a nice even heat and is pretty easy to clean. I know that from cleaning it, it gets used a lot in our kitchen.

I've been wanting the 6 qt enamel CI for doing sides and casseroles on the gasser. Being the tight ass that I am, I just haven't popped yet.
I bought a 3 qt corning ware w/ lid for $5 at the thrift store and it us doing great, exactly what I wanted for the two of us. I don't worry about getting it all smoked up on the grill. But, I can't do direct heat with it, and that would be nice.

I bought a enameled Dutch oven from sears as they closed down for $32 , I love it no worry about seasoning it as stews and such ruin that and you have to redo, If I could afford it all mine would be enameled ,I don't see the need for a plain jane 1 unless its for making breads , most of my cooks always involved wet ingredients and I cant keep it seasoned like my skillets

I have the Lodge 6 quart non-enameled. Love it. But I was thinking about the enameled version to avoid reseasoning. Though that really isn't a problem because it has been seasoned soo many times hardly anything sticks to it.
