After you put a little smoke to a Pumpkin Pie let us know how that tastes! Thanks.

For a better tasting pumpkin pie use a good quality squash in stead of pumpkin.

Bake your squash untill it is soft, then scoop out all the good stuff and toss the empty shell away.

Puree the squash in the blender and use this instead of canned pumpkin.

Most squash tastes better than pumpkins anyway.

The color will not be the traditional orange color but the pie will be tasty.

You will be surprised at how much better squash pie is than the old standby pumpkin.

Once you get passed the big headline and read the article, it appears that the Nestle Co. controls 85% of the pumpkin market. Could it be an attempt at raising co. profits by creating a "false" shortage? Nah, no fine upstanding company would do that............would they? The squash idea is a good one and as far as the traditonal orange color goes, that's nothing that a bit of food coloring won't fix.

Well they have tons and tons of canned pumpkin at all the stores around here and pumpkin pies from Sarah Lee just went on sale so i think we're good to go.
