Good morning everyone,
I have a couple of questions about the famous pulled pork:
-I cook it by morning for eating at dinner usually, but now I want to do it for lunch, is it possible to cook the day before, and after that, put it in the fridge for rest during the night? IF, yes, how should I do? does it keep its flavour and taste?
Age old question: Injection or not? personally I use to inject it every time, and leave it to rest 1 night

Thanks a lot for all replies

I’ve never injected so can’t speak on that. In the past I’ve reheated slowly in the oven to bring it back up to temp and also use a finishing sauce to keep it moist and from drying out. I’ve also reheated in a crock pot on warm (slowly) if your just cooking for your self l, in the past I even get good results in the microwave with finishing sauce!

i don't inject , like upnorth said i just add a little bbq. sauce or what ever you like and reheat in oven.

PP to me always tastes better the next day, mostly due to being flavor blind due to the smoke. That's not to say I don't enjoy a nice hot piece pulled straight from the butt. Pre-covid I did vendor events, and because BBQ is my second job I had to cook my meat prior to day of sale. I cook, pull, cool, bag, and fridge day before. And then day of I toss the butt into a turkey roaster, add either reserved butt juice or low-sodium chicken broth and bring it up to serving temp.

ok thanks for both replies, I'll let u know how gonna be with the oven, at which temperature I could set up the oven?
