First time smoking pulled pork and its for my wife's 30th birthday! I have. Two butts that I started at 5am. Here is a picture of the rub from last night and I am smoking them with cherry. I made a basic rub and I now I'm enjoying a beer while I wait. My question is what type of BBQ sauce should I make with it? Any region better than another?

Cannot go wrong with pulled pork!  Good luck with yours!

I took them out at 5pm and let them rest for 20 minutes. I smoked them for the first 5 hours sat around with some beer and birthday cake until it was time to say happy birthday to my wife. The meat pulled like butter. I ended up maked 3 different sauces. A spicy Texas sauce, a tangy Memphis sauce, and a sweet Kansas City sauce.

Carolina vinegar based for pork!

Mix t taste, Sweet Baby Rays and some Shealy's "vinegar" pepper sauce.(Shealy's is the best).

They also sell it at Piggly Wiggly stores in the Carolinas.
