Had a great smoke this weekend. Did up some pulled pork and @smokinal 's smoked beans recipe.
Smoked the pork (8.4 lbs.) at 225 with some hickory chunks. Just a bit of mustard as a binder and my rub. Took 11.5 hours for the butt to hit 193-195. Wrapped for 2 hours and then pulled. Good color, bark, and turned out really juicy.
While the pork rested I put the beans on at 250 and smoked with hickory chunks for 2 hours. I thought they turned out pretty well considering this was the first time doing them. The family seemed to like them as well. Everyone complimented them. Thanks for the recipe @smokinal !!!
