Problem with cleaning smoker

So I haven't used my masterbuilt propane smoker in about a month so I thought I'd clean it before using it today but the paint lining the inside of the sheet metal peeled off. Is this a problem?

Scape it down, vac it out, coat with oil and give it a quick season. Paint flakes on food is probable why take the chance.

Mine looks like crap too but no paint coming off...did you happen to roll it at high temp to peel the paint?

If the metal is stainless don't bother with the oil, it's a waste of time. If it's raw metal do what whimp69 said and get back to cookin!

Unless there's a huge build up inside thats a danger of flaking onto the food I don't touch it.
