probe issue

Is this the therm on the unit itself ? If so, them units are known for stock therm issues..... I'd suggest getting a therm like a Maverick, I have like a bunch of folks on here a ET-732 ! It's a two probe unit so ya can track smoker temp & food IT ! It also has a wireless transmitter ya can carry with ya !
