We always do homemade lasagna anyways. Family tradition.
Before my wife passed we used to go to her Aunt's house on Christmas . Her Dad's side was / is full Italian . Homemade ravioli with some of the best red sauce and meatballs I've ever had . Good Italian sausage from down on the Hill in St. Louis . She also made fried cardoon . Man it's all so good . Good bread , salad and canollis and cheese cake for dessert .We always do homemade lasagna anyways. Family tradition.
Family memories….something that lasts forever. My father side is/was full Italian also. I remember my grandma speaking in Italian when I was young. (Always made me look at her funny.) She made the best food. Never had a written recipe, except my mom lucky enough, talked to her and written down some family recipes that I use today. Before my wife passed we used to go to her Aunt's house on Christmas . I married into an Italian family. Cannolis are a family tradition at Christmas for her, but we haven't back here in 3 years for the holidays. Before my wife passed we used to go to her Aunt's house on Christmas .
