Amazon became so awful - in what they host and in their own business practices - that I've been quite content spending the time and money to seek out literally any other source. The ethics (and the proliferation of fakes driving out legitimate sellers, and the impossibility of customer service) outweigh any remaining 'convenience' for me. I've really had no issue buying local or direct, instead. Cory Doctorow came up with a good word for this style of decline.
