i have one of those cheap little grills, and yes they suck, but i have turned out a few good burgers and dogs on that during the week when i needed hot and fast! lol really not bad little $99 grills once u learn the nuances.............roll tide

I actually did burgers and dogs on it twice while we were there and both turned out OK. You are right in a pinch it works just fine! Go VOLS...gonna need all the luck we can get Saturday lol

Now onto that last picture. If you had substituted a PBR tall boy in place of that Miller. Then that photo would be hanging up in the Smithsonian

Lol Chris I don't think I saw one PBR while I was there. Natty light was more expensive than Miller Bud and Coors!

Hey tx smoker tx smoker didn't I see in another thread you are a big history buff? Here's one I got with the USS Yorktown in the background :emoji_laughing:

Great looking stuff John!! Glad you at least got some pics. It'd be a shame to come home from a trip like that and all the food and not have anything to reference back to. Sounds like you all had a great time!!

Last pic is great minus the Miller Lite lol.

I gotta agree with you here. From my perspective to use the words "lite" and "beer" in the same sentence is an oxymoron. If it's light, it ain't beer. If it's beer, it ain't lite.

Dodging the fallout from this one,
Robert

Yes sir!! I do love history but probably should have paid more attention when I was in school. A couple hours south of us in Corpus Christi they have the USS Lexington moored and open as a museum. I love going down there and touring the ship. Additionally, my grandfather was on the USS Missouri during WW ll. He was there when it was hit by the kamikaze pilots, and when the treaty was signed for VJ Day. Now my oldest daughter is stationed on the USS Monterrey CG 61 in Norfolk. Not too long ago she and her shipmates made a little jaunt to Syria....a country that is now lacking a bunch of chemical manufacturing facilities :emoji_anguished:

That's good stuff! Actually had my wife's grandfather with us who is a 30 year vet suffering from pretty severe Alzheimer's and he loved it. Actually remembered some of the stuff from his time in the service that he normally cant remember. I've got some good pictures of the actual ship and aircrafts that were on it(its open as a museum now too).

In all good fun here is a closer picture of my view.
