pork shoulder

hello everyone

the local store here has pork shoulder roast bone in on sale here for 10 pounds for 10 bucks i have a couple of questions about the shoulder is this piece of meat good for smoking is it a piece i can use for buckboard bacon like a pork butt or is it just used for pulled pork and is this a good buy thank you for the help

I have not tried bacon with pork shoulder. Perhaps someone else can comment on that. It does makes wonderful pulled pork!! At that price I would have bought 4 or 5 and filled part of my freezer. Great Find.
