Pork shoulder too big

I bought a 12#shoulder 18hr on the smoker is a issue can I cut it in half and smoke 2 6pounders?

Yes. You will get more bark on top of the faster cook.

I'm all for cutting it in half. Realistically, most times between work and family, we don't have the time or energy for 18-24 hour overnight smokes. I think cutting it in half actually improves the end product because like mentioned above, more tasty bark!
