I have a question if i have a 16lb pork shoulder but its cut into 2 8lb pieces. If it cooks at about 1 1/2 hours per pound will cutting it into the 2 pieces lower my cook time on it?

Same answer as I gave you on the other one:

I never saw a 16 pound Butt or Shoulder.

A lot of times they pack 2 eight pounders in one package, and the package will just give the total weight.

2 eight pounders should only take a little longer than 1 eight pounder, but you never know how long a Butt will take----That 1 1/2 hours is a rough estimate. Could be off by hours.
