Not sure if this is just an Upper Midwest thing or not. Prices of butts have jumped up to $2.44/ lb and that's at all 3 places of availability in my home town. Prices used to jump back and forth anywhere between $1.69 - $2.49, but have remain at the higher for the last month. Ribs have jumped to $3.29 also.
High pork prices all around ?

$2.49 has been a pretty common price here for years. They go on sale so often for $.99 I don't know anyone who pays full price. Even at 2.49 it's still cheaper than buying store made sausages

$2.49 is fairly common here (SE Florida, but i keep and eye for sales. Anything under $2 i load up and get the grinder out.
Ribs have been out of control. running $3.49-$4.29
W-D has $1.99 sales sometimes, but its Smithfield and I'm not a fan.

Gordon food service has been dropping prices over the last few weeks .
Normally it's one or the other , but beef and pork are all coming down .
I bought a whole strip loin last week . $7.49 a pound . Looked today , and they're down to $6.69 .
Brisket is finally dropping . Been $4.99 forever . This morning it's $4.29 . Average price around here for brisket is $3.49 .

Costco was $2.49 last week, I will need to stroll into restaurant depot and see what is going on there.

Gordon Foods prices have been slowly dropping over the last few months. They are down to $1.49 lb for bone in Butts
+1. GFS is pretty much my go to now. I grab the boneless for sausage and easily $1/lb cheaper than Kroger for bone in.

This morning it's $4.29 .

Yep, $4.29 brisket @ GFS pretty much seals it. Swear they rock the sale prices for holidays.

Was just kinda curious what others were paying. Sounds like probably on par with most. Guess was kinda use to the bit lower prices, always stocked up on a few butts before deer season. No tag this yr so no need for that 😢

My wife and M-I-L are constantly watching for sales and I don't believe they've ever paid even $1.50/lb for Boston butt. They'll buy 2 or 3 at once, freeze them, and then we'll use them for whatever event comes up. Please, don't ever pay for full price for Boston butt, the grocery stores run sales to regularly for that sort of thing. "Buy it cheap and stack it deep...."

Here in southern New England prices are a joke.Standard price for a butt is $2.99/lb,ribs $4.29/lb.
Northern New England isn't much better. Since becoming empty nesters I really don't look at price per pound. I more or less look at the total price. Butts are pretty expensive on a day to day basis but do go on sale quite often during the summer months, and the same holds true for ribs(both spares and BB). One item I haven't seen come down in price or go on a real sale this year is corned beef. It's still sitting in the 20.00+ range(total price not per/lb) and hasn't budged at all. A good T-bone or porter is also hard to find.

Even though I live in RI I shop in Mass (Fall River) simply because it's closer. The sales are minimal even at Market Basket, most items are bought there but for the most part meats come from Aldi's especially since my favorite meat market shut its doors. This time of year all produce I get comes from various farmer's markets and stands,on occasion I'll pick up a nice cut of meat there also.Like you it's just the two of us and I generally do the same and look at total price too.The other day I went to MB and walked out with one large reusable bag of dry goods...just north of $79!

$2.49 here as well for regular price. I'm holding out for the big sales....see what the bottom price will be. My guess is $1.49/#; Doubt we will see $0.99/# again.....
