The best part about pork belly is left overs!

Sliced a “PB brick” thinly and in to a hot pan

Put a nice little sear on each slice, then drained the rendered fat.

Next then added sauce and simmered it down till tacky.

The slices were placed on top of a bed of sliced cabbage and toasted bun with some finger sides!

Pure heaven! Like. Nicely done. I'll try slicing it next time as I have only ever cubed it.

Thanks Gator, we do both slices and cubes with the slicing for closed Sammie’s and cube for open Sammie’s. The slicing allows for more seared surface area so it really enhances the flavor!

John thanks for the leftover like!! lol

I posted this under my brisket post but thought it should be hear too!!!

Cut up some belly into nice little pieces then seared them off.

These were added to full cast iron pan of home made Mac to make seared smoked pork belly Mac!

Spartan, thanks for the like, it is much appreciated!

Ok this is bringing up an older post but my wife made up some cauliflower cheese soup and as I was doing the taste testing, I had this great idea flash before me......hey this would be the perfect vehicle for some of the smoked pork belly I had saved in the freezer.

First the toppings....smoked pork belly, bacon, & greens.

Next the wife’s bread sticks.....I have no idea how these are made but I know how they disappear.....

Nice job on the pork belly and a lot of nice left over meals.
Like them all.

Yes please! Sign me up for a few bowls of that and a couple pans of breadsticks. Looks great!

Thanks ososmokeshack ososmokeshack

For the soup my wife makes a flour/butter roux, then adds white wine, chicken stock, heavy cream, a variety of spices?, then 3 cheeses (smoked gouda, sharp cheddar, and real parm. Then grated carrots and cauliflower at the end. It is all done at a very low simmer after the cream is added....She uses it with broccoli as well as for creamy ham soup. She has also added beer instead of wine and then added more cheese......when she does this a whole pan of bread sticks goes in one night!

Sounds delicious. I’m afraid soup season might be over here in California though. Saved to the list for the fall.
