Just wondering. I have seen in several threads people "giving points" for a particularly good smoke or technique. How do you give points? I looked for the answer and didn't come up with much. Just curious.

look at the scale in your post, click on someone elses in thier post or reply and follow instructions Top right corner

Then If you do get lucky enough to get some points given to ya, you can click on the " User CP" up in the top tool bar and see who gave them too ya and maybe even a little comment.

The reputation points are a real nice feature. It gives folks a little indication to the expertiece or trustworthyness ( 2 words I obviously can't spell) of some members. That is not to say that there are not some real experts here that don't post much, or get points.

I usually give points for an outstanding smoke session or Q-view, helpfull members who go out of their way to help others, excellent recipes that have never been mentioned, and other kindness related or brotherly type acts. Its kinda like a friendly pat on the back, or a clink of the glass and a toast dedicated to a certain person.
