Last night was pizza night.
Started out in the morning with making dough. I used the bread machine for this. Super easy.
Mix in a bowl:
3 cups flour. I used bread flour.
3 tbs parm cheese
3tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dried ground basil
1.5 tsp salt
2tbs sugar
In the bread machine add 2 tbs olive oil.
Then add flour mixture and 1 cup plus 2 tbs water that is 100-110 degrees
then add 2 tsp dry active yeast.
Start bread machine on the dough setting.

Remove dough from machine, put in oiled bowl and cover. Let it rest for a hour. Then form into the crusts.

Now to build:

I like using Puttanesca sauce

With a few extra kalamata olives.

Cheese that bad boy up!

Here goes the toppings. Pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, salami, onions, ham, and bacon,

On occasion I like anchovies. Not a lot though. Then can be over powering.

And the banana peppers I pickled recently. They came out nice. Perfect touch of heat and dill.

400 degrees and 30 minutes later. Time to chow!

Looks like a couple of fine pizza's Steve. I also like anchovies, but since we don't make pizzas and only order out. I'm afraid to add them as a topping.

Point for sure
Chris

That's a great pizza and built in classic fashion from the crust on up. The chovies are a nice touch from time to time Steve, that's the kind of pizza a man sits down to with a pitcher of good beer and walks away satisfied, huge Like! RAY

Looks great. Never heard of that sauce. Will have to check it out.
Thank you! If you have a wegmans near by. Hopefully they have it.

And so goes the waist line. Great looking pies.

Thanks! I'm the same. I won't order pizza with anchovies either. God only knows how long they've sat out.

That's one good looking pie Steve. VERY nice job.
Thank you!

Pizza’s look great Steve! Those banana peppers are a perfect topping. The zing of the peppers cuts through all the other ingredients.

I like the Puttanesca sauce too, had over pasta but never made a pizza with it.

It’s really good to have a Wegmans nearby. They certainly seem to offer a great variety of ingredients and options.

Thank you! When I bought those banana pepper plants I thought they were the normal ones. Not the hot variety! Not complaining though

Good looking pIzzy there Steve!
I’m a big anchovie & onion pizza guy so this is right in my wheelhouse.
Nobody around here likes anchovies but me, so I rarely get my favorite pizza!

Thanks Al! I'm lucky there. My wife doesn't mind them. As long as I don't over do it.

Whoa Steve!! Those are some awesome looking pizzas right there buddy. I bet there were VERY filling too. Those puppies had to weigh in about 12 pounds each. Great job my friend. Looks like you may be giving Papa John (AZ John) a run for his title :emoji_wink:
