Local Walmart has the pitboss copperhead ($266) and “pit stop” ($137) on clearance. Anyone have any experience with them? More interested in the pit stop but still eyeing the rest of their inventory for end of year sales

No experience with either.
I run my Blackstone griddle on a plywood cover over my 2 burner "Outdoor Cooker" now known as Camp Chef. Nice height for me.

The pit stop looks very close to the Mahogany version I have.
Sherry bought one as well.

I would say it should be a nice little smoker. For that price. I'd snag it in a instant!

I'm rarely in Wal-Mart but when I am I always look for a PitBoss table top grill. Not sure why but they never seem to be in stock, let alone on clearance. The Mahogany I ordered from Amazon came damaged, so I guess it's not meant to be.

I have the PB Mahogany version of the tabletop...looks pretty close to the same.

This is my first pellet grill and I bought it specifically to use as a smoker. I'm still getting to know it, so to speak, but so far, so good! I've smoked a small brisket point, beef cheeks, and hams from pork butt and all turned out excellent, IMO.

HTH!
