I like to know more about the electric heat system in your smoker. I building a smoker made out of an old metal storage cabinet and I'm thinkin on using electric.
Can you help figure this out?

Michael, The burner is a 1500 watt dual element that I took the 500 watt element out and moved the temp. control away from the burner. The temps hold at 250 to 300 degrees. I would have liked to move the temp control up to the level of the 1st grate but I didn't have any 12ga. reenforce silcone wire.

neat smoker why buy when you can make one waitting for pics of your great smokes.
Good Luck and Good smoking
