Pellet Smoker or Elecric Smoker

Good evening everyone,

I am going to be purchasing a Masterbuilt smoker and after looking at their website they have both pellet and wood chip smokers. Wanted to get your thoughts on which direction to go...

These are the models I am looking into purchasing. I have read Bears recommendations but someone them are hard to come by now? I do not understand between the G and the S however looking for the best electric smoke one would recommend today... Thank you for our time!

I have an old MES digital......probably 10-12 yrs old.
Uses chips and I have cooked a ton of meat on it.
I'm just a fan of the wood.

I can't help you there, I have 2 MES40 1st generation units and both work very well. Obviously the largest one will eventually not be big enough. I WOULD highly recommend getting an A-Maze-N tray or tube to help augment which ever one you choose. They are certainly game changers and I don't think you'll be sorry. Let us know which one you get!
