Our deck was getting a bit of dry-rot. It was time to replace it with the uber-expensive composite. Wow - what a transformation!

Before, during renovation and after shots.
Replaced one warped upright as well.

Weber gas grill and high-heat grill/smoker (Brinkman tank!) back on the deck.
MES40 is down below under the covered portion.

Nice, I wish ours would be that easy.

We need to do the same, except I think we need to do posts and all. I already added stainless channels around the base of the taller posts because they were clearly rotting away. Deck planks are like hard Styrofoam! I pulled one up to get a rotting ground hog I shot that ran up under the low deck (ours is two tier, one portion just above ground level and another about 4 feet high) and when I went to pull it up thinking it was going to pull the nails up as I did, it snapped right in half!

30 year old deck...we need to do it before we get too old and broke...

Going to do away with the deck and just have a landing at the door, 8’ wide concrete and 2 steps into the side door, lumber is higher than concrete these days, ours is a little over 30 and needs replaced,

That looks awesome very nice

Nice update. Yeah that fake wood is dreadfully expensive.
I need to replace the concrete steps to the house. Planning a small landing and it will be real wood posts and joists with composite deck
