Hello Everyone!

Right now I have a small Life Time off-set smoker so i thought i'd take the plunge into the electric arena.  I have bought 2 PID's and two probes in anticipation of my smoker arriving next week (hopefully) from Steve.  My 1st goal with this smoker is to be able to smoke large cuts of meat during the week while at work so it's not just a weekend thing. My 2nd goal is to program a Arduino with 2 probes an host the readings on it's wifi web server then create a iPhone app that checks the server and displays my meat and smoker temps. Oh

First off, Welcome from Arizona.

Congratulations on making the leap to electric.  Please let us know how it goes with the PID set up.

Again, Welcome!

That sounds pretty intense! I just bought the Model-1 and love it so far! Welcome and hope everything works out great!

I've had the model1 for over a year it's built like a tank and handles the sub zero temps in Mn quite well no problem keeping the heat

TonyG,

And how is the new smoker working out?
