Great looking food.......I hope you get your problem with smoker taken care of......Camp chef should take care of the problem because it sounds like a bad regular or burner or maybe both......

Thanks Kookie, I hope they take care of it as well.

Last picture Turkey is done!

Thanks for looking and for the support.

It appears that even with the thick orange flame, you can smoke some kickin meat. Great job. Did the CC ever work right or did this just start? Orange flame is too fuel rich. Either not enough air to the burner, or too much gas from a bad regulator choking it out. Good luck fixing it.

Thanks. Yeah the flame is too rich. I'm going to try and get Camp Chef to pony up a new regulator.

It happened about January but I've been trying to do things to see if it got better, changed tanks, changed tank position, cleaned burner, cleaned venturi valve, cleaned regulator, etc.

Nothing seems to work. I'll try a new regulator and if it is still not working, I'll either convert it to charcoal or get myself a WSM.

Hey Ron gret looking peppers. In one of the views it looked as if there was kechup or Q-sauce in the caps, what was it and did it serve a purpose other than great looks?

Regardless, I am doing to give that a try. I love stuffed peppers!

Thanks TMW!

That is ketchup in the caps. Other then decoration it has two purposes. As it gets warmer it kind of seals the cap to the bottom of the pepper so it doesn't go sliding off and even more importantly it seals in the moisture so the meat doesn't dry out.

I'd also recommend taking a toothpick and poking a tiny hole in the bottom of the pepper. If you don't, the juices can build up too much and the meat steams in the juice and doesn't taste as good. Especially true if you don't precook the meat before it goes in the pepper.

Just wanted to provide an update on my orange flame issue.

I emailed Camp Chef and they are going to do the right thing and send me a new hose and regulator to see if that fixes the issue. I'll let everyone know if that solves the problem.

Guess I'll have to visit the market and come up with something to smoke.
