I went to Poly Prep!
Is that the engineering high school? My father went to a high school where he had to take a test to get in. He also went to some engineering college in Brooklyn also.

We moved here last December. Absolutely wonderful. My season ended 3 weeks later we were here.

I'm not sure if I sent you a Welcome post, but Welcome from Dacula Ga by way of NJ, 30 years ago. Love it here, but do miss the foods available in Jersey.

We lived in Freehold NJ for around a year before moving to VT. This would be around 1966/67

I grew up in Iselin NJ from 1961 til 1993. I had an Uncle that lived in Freehold from the late 60's til late 70's. At the time, Freehold was very nice. Now I have no idea how it is. In the 80's I worked in Sayreville, not far from Freehold. Small World.

Mike,

The food here is better than Florida.

Still not Brooklyn, hence why I bake my own bread, make pasta, and sausages.

Totally agree. At least we found 1 decent Pizza place and 1 decent Chinese take out place. An Hell yeah Brooklyn, it's impossible to find any bad food there, lol. We have some good friends that live there.

I live in Iowa near I-35. For several years after we moved here we had to drive the absolute worst patched portion of any highway I've ever driven. Counting the different shades of color I counted 5 kinds or patches on the highway. Finally they replaced the bumpy, over-patched stretch that was several miles long and made it halfway decent to drive on. I can appreciate that photo in the original post. I-35 looked almost that bad on all north and south bound lanes.
