One for the road (Pastrami content)...

Sunday night or Monday morning we're going to be making a 10hr drive from ATL to northeastern NC.  Instead of buying fast food along the way, I decided that I'm going to make some Pastrami and buy some pumpernickel/rye swirl.  Doing the smoke today, so the store bought corned beef is soaking right now (doesn't make for good pics).

My "rub" consists really of 3 things:

the packet that came w/ the corned beef

peppercorn medly (McCormick's....mix of black/white/pink/green peppers & coriander)

black peppercorn

Rub ready & waitin....

Time to change out the water...be back later ;)
