Olympic Hockey Go Team USA!!!!

I think hockey is one of the most exciting sports to watch. Have been some great games so far. The US team has advanced to the medal round.
The captain for Team USA Jamie Langenbrunner is from my small home town of Cloquet Mn.

The womens hockey team is playing for the gold medal tomorrow. If they win and the mens team goes on to win it will be the first time in Olympic history a mens and womens team win the gold in the same sport.

Lets go
TEAM USA!!!

My other bad habit is hockey. My son is playing on at least 2 different teams at any given point. I wish the best for bith the men and the women. Two golds would be COOL!!! But a rematch with Canada?

Yep so USA. It will be two tough games against Canada to win. That is if USA Mens win the next one to get into the Gold game. Go USA!

Canada just pounded the Russians. They need to win one more too.

If and I hope If remember we need to still play and win the next game. It will be really hard to beat the Canadian twice in they olympics. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to Canada in the gold metal game.

Yep the Czechs are playing Finland in a few minutes. The winner of that game plays the US. The winner of that game goes for the Gold. Wouldn't be surprised to see Canada and Team USA going for the Gold. It will be tough to beat the Canadians twice especially if Canada plays the way they did tonight. But then again Russia isn't the powerhouse we are used to seeing in the Olympics anymore either.

Yeah, the US game was awesome today. Wasn't pretty, but they got the job done, especially considering how under rated our team seems to be with a lot of folks. Have you ever been to Cloque?? My girlfriend's sister and bro-in-law have lived there for years after going to school in duluth. They are huge Wild fans, though down here in Colorado we love the Avs. I think the wild had five players go to the games, but im not sure. Wouldn't mind seeing the US face Canada again in the finals.

BTW, the TEAM USA!!! confused the hell out of me with my background. It looked like T AM U A ! !. Didn't know what to make of it until I moved around my monitor a little bit! GO USA!

I'm from Calif. what's hockey.

However I did go see the Great One play once when he was with the L.A. Kings, I can easily appreciate a great athlete in any sport.

Watch the USA men play the Swiss, the 2nd period denied goal on last second of the period was something, why couldn't they have done that 20 seconds earlier.

Like most of America I was glued to the TV watching the USA play every game during the 1980 Lake Placid games. The "Miracle on Ice", beating Russia, was truly one of the greatest feats in Olympic or sports history, its hard admit that was 30 years ago. It would be great to feel that emotion and sense of national unity again. It was such a Star Wars moment Luke Skywalker (the amateur,novice) vs Darth Vader (seasoned pros) who never lost powered by the Evil Empire.

I live in Cloquet now and have for nearly 20 years. Jamie is a local hereo around here as you may imagine. Every storefront, bar etc has some banner out cherring him and Team USA on.
The Swiss played tough yestrday. The goalie kept them in it for sure. Team USA dominated in most aspects of the game but just like in the Stanley Cup a hot goalie can take you a long way.
I am a Wild fan too. Good to see a number of them in the Olympics.
Going to get tougher from here on out. Hope we are still in it on Sunday!!

I am predicting a Canada vs. US for gold in both mens as well as the womans which is today. and I am also predicting Canada winning them both. not just because I am canadian, but because the mens team pounded the US mens in everything except goals, as your goalie had the preformance of his life, and we played the wrong one. we out shot 2 to 1, had the posesion more than double the US, out hit, ect.. just coulent beat Miller. now that we have lou in net the results are different. the womans is different the US and Canada are realy the only good teams, and while Canada usaly has an edge on the US it is a close matchup so I am going to pick Canada but it will be a close one.

I may be wrong, but either way, hopefully they'll both be good games, without any cheap goals deciding the outcome.
