This is why I try to stay away from a lot of lump charcoal. Find one that's reliable and stick with it, or make it yourself.

I now dump the bag into a bin with a lid and use it from there. No big deal. I can only get RO lump, no other lump is available in my area.

ditto,

I use royal oak, or Cowboy, and this was an odd occurance to find a prize in the bad, typically they are both good.

make your own-is fun on days u arn't smoking.been a long time since I bought a bag.

days Im not smoking, or working...that doesnt happen much.

I use Royal Oak strictly. I've found lots of rocks, something that looked like cooled molten metal or something, and fiberglass insulation. I even found a hunk of insulation about the size of a nerf football once. If you let R.O. know you are finding weird stuff, they'll hook you up.

Is that still true? I've been only using RO and out of the past two 10 pound bags I have pulled out about 2 pounds of concrete. Their website doesn't work and wasn't updated past 2001. Online I found mention of the bad economy having them shut down the GA plant.
