I just mentioned that on a different thread. Here in Alabama, there's usually a very good sale in december on prime ribs. I intend to load up this year. I'm nervous that we won't have the sale this year but hopeful

The sales start on Wednesday around here, but Food Lion and Kroger will let you preview the upcoming ad the day before.

Starting tomorrow Food Lion will be $7.99/lb. Kroger will be $9.99/lb. Both have a limit of 1. Publix ad isn't available until tomorrow, but I'm thinking $7.99/lb. might be the cheapest we'll see them this year and maybe ever again...

Just went and picked up a 10 lb'r... They said standing rib roast will be on sale starting tomorrow but didn't know the price..

We are skipping prime rib this year as well (it's crazy $$ at the moment).... but got a whole (15lbs) NY loin at 9.99lb that has been dry aging for 30 days now....gonna cut that open for NY roast this weekend for the winter solstice. Oh and the non-roast cuts will be freezer steaks.....

I got 3 before thanksgiving @ 8.99/lb, picked up a beaut yesterday at the Kroger affiliate (Harris Teeter for 8.99/lb. I wish I'd waited for this one. Publix tends to sell really nice ones.
