Walk in cooler. Almost done with building. Cooler working great. Already processed this year’s deer. I still have one more doe tag to fill. Going to grind a steer for burger soon and fatten one for butchering come February

Now that is nice !
Where did you find the cooler ?
Out of a convenience store that had closed. It was 8'x24' with glass beverage doors in the front. Cut it down to 8'x12' and took out the glass doors.

Looking forward to learning how to butcher cattle and hogs. Have always butchered our own deer. Always took the steers and hogs to the butcher plant. But, around here they are all booked out past the end of 2022. So, doing it myself now.

Very Nice! Good find. I have a friend in Michigan that is a traveling butcher, he has been non-stop since Covid hit and all the processors shutdown. Now there is a long backlog.

We have a walk-in cooler at our deer club in Arkansas... I thought about maybe buying a pig in Arkansas and butchering it at the deer club.....

That's nice . I've installed a couple of those , and have saved a couple too . Be nice to have for deer hunting for sure .

That's a fantastic find, and more power to you guys who can do their own butchering. I couldn't do it myself. I keep telling my self that steaks and such are grown from seed in those styrofoam trays in the grocers. I'm a big softy.

That’s a nice set up. Nothing like being able to do for yourself. Local processors here are 0.90 cents a pound and just shy of 2.00 a pound for cure. I do my own when I can for sure.

Growing up we had a walk-in in the house and it was the most awesome thing ever!!! I would be sure to have friends over when we were hanging a beef or pigs jus to see the look on their faces......I would love to have one now!
