Just cancelled the Fubo . Got up this morning and all the TV's with Fubo on it were set to 240 SD , and full of notifications from Fubo even though I checked the " don't bother me " box .
Had a heck of a time getting them back to where they were . Default on the TV's is " Auto " so Fubo must be streaming in the lowest resolution possible .
Not sure what happened , or if it was Fubo's fault , but I'm done with it .

That free trial ends in 3 days anyway .

NFL App works great. $6.99 a month, cancel anytime. Since its Nov. no need for a full years subscription. We used it in SLC because UT has no NFL team and the networks wouldnt always broadcast the games we wanted.

I read an article just now that said Disney is losing 5 Million dollars a day over this. Seems dumb but I am no expert.

Part of my enjoyment is ESPN Sunday NFL countdown , and the Manning cast on Monday night .
At this point I'll probably go with ESPN unlimited for the rest of the season . I've worked to hard more than half my life to do without something I enjoy , if I can afford it .
It's weird that after I cancelled Fubo how awesome everything looks and sounds now .
My imagination ?? could be , I don't know .

Our minds do not work like these people . Dealing with ownership groups on Construction of new retail space , they count fractions of an inch in sales profit .

They will build a new fast food restaurant looking at the initial surge in profit for the first 3 months , bank that , then let it fail and use that as a deduction , then call it a win and move on .

Someone at Mickey Mouse has done the math on new subscribers without a middle man I guess .

I had a Fubo free trial a couple years ago, and what I remember is the poor picture quality. If Disney plans on competing with YT TV, they'll have to fix that.

I've been very happy with ESPN Unlimited. Its a step toward the ala carte TV that I cut the cord for 10 years ago. I've been told its impossible, but we seem to be slowly getting there.

So you get the programming with that right ? The on air shows . Not just the pick something that already aired .

I would say it's coming . If one of them was smart ( and not greedy ) they would offer a base plan with options to buy show series and a sports package .

I had this house built with dedicated coax and phone line in all the rooms . Also had a homerun for an outside antenna . Way before streaming . Long story , but when I finally cut the cord , I kept one cable box so I could still watch the History channel . Carried You tube TV and charter for probably 3 years . Then I was able to buy the series I wanted from history channel on Amazon , and ditched cable .
Still have the in wall runs to all the rooms , but like an idiot I took out the 75 feet of coax from the attic . Might look into hooking up an over the air source what I can pick up . All the connections are in the rooms .

Its the entire ESPN content. Everything. It will be in either live or " on demand " form. Or both.

Tablo will get OTA to every TV in the house. I have a Channel Master outdoor antenna hanging in the attic, with coax going to the Tablo. And that's over kill as I'm 14 miles from the OKC " antenna farm " , where all the stations have antennas.

And just to be sure, I've got cheap $20 antennas on all the TV's. I've got Tablo for its DVR function.

Something I'd forgotten about and I'm now seeing a lot of people using ........... is Sling offers a $5 day pass.
I like the $6.99/month. I had sling years ago, their packages are/were wonky enough that I came to not like them. For me...I just needed MNF and for 7 bucks I got it.

Yup . I saw that . Would work for a one or two time deal . The ESPN unlimited is a good deal . I'll run it until the NFL season ends , then most likely cancel , and reactivate as needed .

Thanks for the info on that .

I hate that. Some time back I tried several different streaming services and I had been using YTTV for almost a year. When S hit the fan last week I swapped back to Fubo and I haven't had the experience you described. My channels are all good quality and I get all the sports and for me Sports & Local channels is about all I focus on these days.

There are a lot of options and most of them are no contract so don't be shy about trying any of them. I hope everyone finds their groove for a good streaming service. It's a PITA having to swap and switch. Most of us humans don't like change.....

I was trying to not come across as Fubo trashing ( I know you don't think I was ) . I liked the channel lineup they offered . I cancelled mostly because the free trial was ending , and I didn't want to get charged . Checked my YouTube account . I'm paying $92.00 with the 4K plus . Fubo was the same for the pro , no 4K .

Anyway , I got an email yesterday from Netgear , saying that my router was at " end of service " meaning no more updates going forward . They said the last one had been sent out and that was that . I'm thinking now that I caught it in the middle of the update and that's why my TV's were all whacked out that morning , or at least part of it .

I did the Fubo trial as well for last weekend and realized how good YTTV really is. The platform and quality are unmatched. I was going to do the sling day pass the rest of the season, but now I'm thinking ESPN Unlimited may be the way to go. Heading to Japan for 3 weeks tomorrow so I think it'll be more stable when I'm up at 1 am to watch my beloved Gators choke away more games :emoji_laughing:
