no doubt the best forum on the web!  I now have a 2005 fridgidare sitting on my front porch because the compressor went out.  I have to do something with it, while at the same time i'm ready to build a smoke house.  I know i'll have nothing but a metal shell left after removing the insulation, but my question is, can i cover the inside with wood to insulate and strengthen the cabinet on a cold/hot smoker?  i searched and never really found a discussion on this. any ideas? plan on mostly deer sausage making. thanks!!

The interior is plastic.  its a home fridge that's only 5 or 6 years old but stopped working. i figure i'll have to take all the copper, plastic and foam out. i was thinking that i could go back inside with a wood liner, giving me a good metal shell cabinet with a wood interior.it mabey too much trouble, but i thought i could kill two birds with one stone.
