I’m looking at the pit boss pro series 4 series vertical smoker, but I’ve seen that it’s not PID or WIFI. Can I upgrade the “board” to WIFI/PID later??

The Copperhead units use a different controller layout so there are no compatible aftermarket PID controllers (ie Savannah Stoker) to my knowledge. You could probably put an aftermarket controller in a project box mounted somewhere on the smoker, but it will likely be more expensive than getting something else with PID and WIFI built in from the factory.

I would buy it already with rather than convert, the warranty will be gone if you convert, the warranty is really good on the new units , maybe a little more money than you want to spend right now but you will save in the long run imo

They always release their new lines of smokers in November. Did the same last year. Added the products to Walmart but wasn't available yet. Give it a few more days and they will start stocking

Thank you for the insight! Hopefully they will start showing up soon! I would like to smoke a turkey for thanksgiving, but I need a "dry run" to make sure I don't ruin thanksgiving!
