Hello All,

Am new here, and trying to get into this rewarding hobby.I am just outside of Kansas City,Missouri.I have been gathering info from the forums, trying to make a informed choice for a smoker.I believe an electric one is what I am interested in,as that seems to be the most efficient and economical way to get it done.I'm more into "set and forget" than babysitting a fire through the whole process. To that end,I have been looking at the MES 40.Currently,the new generation ones are out of stock, can somebody tell me the main difference between old generation and new generation for these?Should I wait for the new generation or would I be happy with an old generation model?I know there are a few still available on Amazon of the old generation, just wondered which was best?
