Strong work Bear, looks just like Prime rib, you could have told us all it was and we'd have totally went along. I'm shocked you don't have to feed a lot more people for Christmas the way you cook!

Yum!! Looks terrific as usual Bear! I’ve never cooked a strip roast, but you’ve made me want to give it a try! Nicely done my friend!

Red

Thank You Red!!
This is the only way I'll eat NY Strip---Slow Smoked Roast!!
The NY Strip Steaks I get around here are too loaded with Gristle, as are the T-bone & Porterhouse!!

Darn, I wish we would get some meat prices like that around here. I would be all over that. Great looking meal , and some extra kudo's to the Mrs. on the pie.

Thank You Miller!!
Our house & Kitchen are quite small.
Biggest crowd we get is about 6 people, but usually 2 or 4.
We get a lot of Leftovers that way, and I get to make a lot of Sammies from my leftovers, so that makes me Happy.:)

Thank You Sir!!
We don't get Great prices often, but I check my flyers every Thursday, and Jump on them when I see them.
As an example---I usually hold at least 5 or 6 Choice Standing Rib Roasts (about 5 pounders) in my Meat freezer, and I was down to ZERO 3 weeks ago. I used my last one for our 50th Anniversary. And finally a sale came up at $4.99 for Select, but we were only allowed One. So We got a 19.6 pounder, and I brought it home & cut it into 4 pieces for use in 2019.
And Thanks for the Like.

Perfection on the strip roast, I like the wife's tree and Smokey pics. Our pets get their Christmas goodies too.

Thank You John!!
LOL---She makes him new toys every Holiday. She gets cheap gloves at the Dollar Store. Then she cuts all 10 fingers off of the gloves, stuffs them, and sews the cut end up. Smokey loves them more than any store bought toy!!!
And Thanks for the Like.
