I live in Cincinnati and do a lot of grilling (have three grills, 2 charcoal and 1 gas). I have a Brinkman charcoal smoker that I have used a few times. great on a Boston Butt, only so so on a beef brisket.  Lot of work adding charcoal and wood chips to keep it going. So thinking of going with an electric smoker. Probably a MES 40 and doing my homework now.

Still trying to figure out about using a AMNPS with it.  Wonder how well the MES 40 it does with just their standard wood tray using wood chunks.  Sounds like you have to microwave pellets, light with blowtorch etc. with the AMNPS.

So you will see some questions in the forums from me I am sure.

Thanks

The AMNPS works great with the MES 40 and really improves the performance
