Hi, everyone! I'm Angie, from Michigan. Newly married, 5 kids and 5 grand kids. My husband brought with him a smoker he found in his mothers attic, never opened. It's a Mirro Smokehouse Electric smoker. I love to grill and just cook in general, so I'm looking forward to getting to know my cooker.

I grew up on a farm but was a city dweller most of my life until now. I live out in the boonies again, and I'm loving it. Started growing my own vegies, we hunt turkey and deer right in our back yard, so we get the freshest of the fresh. We are slowly learning how to become homesteaders and I'm hoping the smoker will allow us to process foods that will keep better, and taste better, of course.

I welcome any tips and tricks that would help in my learning!

Welcome to the forum!  I live in the boonies too, isn't it wonderful?  We also hunt and fish and garden and learning to smoke our own food has been a good experience!  Take care, and enjoy smoking!  Steve
