Been cruising through the forum for months seeing tips and ideas from all the great creative folks. Love and appreciate how much everyone is so willing to share their experiences.
I've had a number of smokers, but just picked up a Gen 1 MES 40. Smoking a butt tonight for some family coming over tomorrow. Will post a pic or two.
Update:
I put a 7.2lb BB on last night about midnight ET. Used Fox Bros. (local) rub and burning hickory pellets with an AMNPS for the full smoke at 225.
It stalled at 168 and has now picked back up and currently at 172 degrees. Once I reach 195-200 I'm gonna pull it and let it rest in a cooler for a few hours before family comes over.
Will probably make a new sauce for it. Would love to hear yalls recommendations on your latest fav sauce recipe.
Trying to think of what I want for sides as well. Need to make something good. Hope yall have a delicious weekend lined up.
UPDATE:
After exactly 14 hours here's a preview of dinner. Looks just right and certainly smells right! Now on to rest in the cooler for a couple hours.
