Awhile back BCFishman ask if I knew anybody looking for a slicer he had found one on Craigslist. I told him I'd be intersted but it was located close to him so he offered to go check it out for me. The guy jerked him around a bit but he finally got to check it out and said it looked good so I asked him to go ahead and pick it up for me. He went and picked it up and we made arrangements for me to pick it up from him Sunday afternoon. On the way to his house I stopped and picked up Sumosmoke to ride along and visit some. Nick and family were attending church so Laurel and I stopped and grabbed some lunch then headed on to Nick's house. The slicer is large and should workout very well for me but wouldn't fit on a standard countertop with an upper cabinet over it so I got a rolling table for it. Thanks Nick for your time and effort and thanks Laurel for the company.

And heres a link to the table it now sits on

I hope to get some slicing done with it today or tomorrow

Nice score, Jerry. Use it in good health. That should handle all of your slicing needs.

Piney,

Nice pick up. I am sure it will get plenty of use. Looks like one sturdy piece of equipment. I have seen some that look pretty cheesy.

Well I couldn't take it any more had to try it out

Well...

I don't see any blood or tips of thumbs/fingers in there so I assume all went well.

How did it compare to the Rival up at camp? No comparison?

It looks like it slices well.

P.S. That's not my MIA salami is it?

It's always nice to ride along with Jerry, and it was good to see Nick and meet his family.

The slicer is one helluva find and it looks as if it slices great! LOL on getting some stuff to give it a whirl.

You got a great buy my friend. I bought a Berkel model 909 a few months ago off craigslist for $100. I looked on ebay and the same machine was from $1125 to $1500.

Yours looks to be a newer model than mine, the knobs are different, but this machine will outlast me and my sons.
